Lift Off

The Hills Hoist looked more like a Helicopter ready to take off...
Then a icon to 50's domestic bliss...
The sun however shone through all of it...
and I was able to at least catch up on some crocheting and
lawn mowing too which happens to be a favorite of mine...
It does help having a ride-on I must say...
I did even dress for the occasion in my denim shorts black tights and stripey socks not forgetting sensible foot wear like a pair of blundstones...
My mother happened to drop by at lunch time and spot me in my gardening attire only to comment on the fact that that outfit would look fine on a 20 year old but you are 41 she told me....
Hmmmmmm

So what prey tell is a 41 year old woman suppose to wear?

Does anyone know cause I don't!!!

So OK if I was planning to wear this down the street
( well
OK I did as I had to grab the mail)
Would I look ridiculous like some sort of teenager wannabe...
or would it look more like well OK she has just thrown this on
to do some
yard work with style...

Sorry for the ramble I think I'm having a mid-life crisis thing!!!

But in all sanity is it just me or are there others out there the same as me who just have no idea what to wear anymore???

  1. I love your sense of style but I probably shouldn't answer your question. My sister came around on Sunday afternoon and asked me why I still had my pyjama pants on.... I didn't - I was fully dressed (wearing a pair of pink and red stripey pants)!

  3. I just came to say hello and good luck with the dottie angel challenge - I have joined up, too. Well, I am a bit older than you, and when I was 40 I worried, but now I think, just wear what you like and are comfortable in, and forget about what anyone else thinks (especially mothers)! From what I can see, you are wearing just the sort of thing I like!

  4. I love what you are wearing. Dont start thinking that you shouldnt wear what you feel like wearing anymore. Age is just a number. Wear what makes you feel happy and reflects your personality! People make too much fuss over getting older. Why should we change, we are still the same people after all! Suzie. x

  5. I think you look FABULOUS Michelle and I am loving the cushion. I don't think I have ever had any idea about what to wear and I am in my 40s too, it's kinda like I don't know what to be when I grow up either????

  7. A 41 year old woman should wear what she wants to! If your Mum doesn't approve of what you are wearing, doesn't that mean you are obviously wearing something super cool...???!!!
